This Privacy Policy continues to apply to personal information that we receive from, send to, or independently control through those third-party services.

Information We Receive From Third Parties

We may receive personal information from third parties such as EzyCourse, Stripe, PayPal, EmailOctopus, Zapier, Fourthwall, analytics and advertising providers, social-media services, affiliate partners, merchandise providers, retreat providers, financial institutions, and other providers used to interact with us.

The information we receive depends on your settings, the services involved, the third party's practices, and the permissions or instructions you provide.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Providing and Administering Our Services

We may use your personal information to create and administer accounts; provide memberships, modules, videos, resources, community features, events, and retreats; track progress; fulfill purchases; manage subscriptions; deliver personalized experiences; and maintain the availability and functionality of our Services.

Processing Transactions

We may use transaction information to process purchases, administer recurring subscriptions, issue confirmations and receipts, process refunds, identify failed or disputed payments, reconcile direct payments, prevent fraud, and maintain tax, accounting, and financial records.

Communicating With You

We and our service providers may contact you in writing to administer your account, membership, purchases, modules, events, retreats, support requests, and other interactions with us.

Transactional and service-related communications may be sent automatically through the Ezycourse membership platform or another service provider acting on our behalf. These messages may include login notices, receipts, subscription information, payment notices, reminders, module updates, event details, security alerts, and other administrative communications.

Although these communications concern Stoic Angels, they may technically be transmitted by the membership platform rather than directly from a Stoic Angels email account or through EmailOctopus.

Marketing newsletters and promotional emails may be distributed through EmailOctopus or Ezycourse.

Direct written communications from us may occur through email, customer-support correspondence, community messages, or direct messages through social-media platforms.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us or our providers from sending transactional, security, legal, or service-related communications reasonably necessary to administer your account or fulfill a request.

Personalizing and Improving Our Services

We may use information to understand how members use our Services, recommend relevant content, improve modules and platform features, develop new offerings, conduct surveys or research, measure participation, evaluate performance, correct errors, and improve accessibility or usability.

Advertising, Marketing, and Referrals

Subject to applicable law and your privacy choices, we may use personal information to promote our offerings; measure advertising performance; create or measure advertising audiences; display advertisements that may be relevant to you; track referrals, affiliate activity, and commissions; and determine whether marketing resulted in a visit, registration, or purchase.

Safety, Security, and Fraud Prevention

We may use personal information to protect accounts and transactions; detect fraud, spam, harassment, unlawful conduct, or abuse; investigate reports or suspected misconduct; enforce our agreements and community standards; protect members, participants, contractors, service providers, and the public; and maintain the integrity of our Services.

Legal, Administrative, and Business Purposes

We may process personal information to comply with applicable law; respond to lawful requests or legal proceedings; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; enforce our Terms and Conditions; maintain business and accounting records; complete audits; manage insurance matters; and protect the rights, property, and interests of Stoic Angels or others.

LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we may rely on one or more of the following:

Contract

Processing may be necessary to provide a membership, module, product, transaction, event, retreat, or other service you requested.

Consent

We may rely on your consent for certain marketing, cookie, advertising, sensitive-information, testimonial, or optional processing activities.
You may withdraw consent where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before consent was withdrawn.

Legitimate Interests

We may process personal information when reasonably necessary to operate, administer, secure, improve, market, document, and protect our Services and business, provided those interests are not overridden by your applicable individual rights.

Legal Obligations

We may process personal information to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, tourism, travel, immigration, regulatory, judicial, governmental, or other legal requirements.

Vital Interests

In limited circumstances, particularly during a retreat, event, or emergency, we may process or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect someone's health or safety.

  4. d.Advertising cookies used for attribution, audience measurement, and personalized or targeted advertising.

We may use technologies provided by Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, EzyCourse, social-media platforms, and comparable analytics, attribution, or advertising providers.

These providers may collect information through cookies, pixels, tags, software tools, or similar technologies.

Your Cookie Choices

Depending on your location, you may be able to manage nonessential cookies through a consent banner or privacy-preference tool.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may prevent some features from working correctly.

Where legally required, we will request consent before using nonessential analytics or advertising technologies.

Membership and Technology Providers

We may share or make information available to EzyCourse and other providers we use to host, administer, secure, and deliver our membership platform, modules, videos, community functions, authentication, and related features.

Payment and Financial Providers

Stripe, PayPal, banks, financial institutions, and other payment providers may process transactions and payment information.
Their independent collection and processing of complete payment credentials are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Where we accept a direct wire transfer, Venmo, Zelle, or another alternative payment arrangement, we may receive and retain the limited information described in the "Purchase and Transaction Information" section above.

Email and Communication Providers

We may use EmailOctopus, Ezycourse, and other communication providers to administer email subscriptions, newsletters, promotions, automated communications, texts, and mailing lists.

Transactional or account-related communications may also be sent through the Ezycourse membership platform or another provider to your email.

Automation and Integration Providers

We may use Zapier and comparable services to connect platforms, automate administrative processes, and transfer information between the services we use to operate Stoic Angels.

Website, Hosting, and Domain Providers

We may share or make information available to WordPress, SquareSpace, hosting companies, domain registrars, website-security services, content-delivery providers, and other website technology providers.

Merchandise and Fulfillment Providers

Products and merchandise may be hosted, sold, processed, manufactured, shipped, or fulfilled through Fourthwall or another third-party provider.

Analytics and Advertising Providers

Subject to applicable consent requirements and your privacy choices, online activity, cookie information, and device information may be shared or made available to Google, Meta, and other analytics, attribution, or advertising providers.

Retreat, Travel, and Event Providers

We may share information reasonably necessary to organize or administer a retreat, trip, or event with venues, hotels, booking platforms, transportation providers, tour operators, caterers, photographers, videographers, instructors, facilitators, insurers, emergency providers, governmental authorities, and other suppliers or partners involved in the experience.

Professional Advisers

We may share information with attorneys, accountants, insurers, consultants, auditors, and other professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

Legal Authorities and Protection of Rights

We may share information when reasonably necessary to comply with law; respond to a subpoena, court order, government request, or other lawful process; investigate fraud or misconduct; protect a person's health or safety; enforce agreements; or protect our Services, our team, our members, or the public.

Business Transactions

Personal information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, investment, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction.

At Your Direction

We may share information when you direct us to do so, request an integration or transaction, authorize the disclosure, or otherwise provide consent.

SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING

We Do Not Sell Your Information for Money

Stoic Angels LLC does not sell personal information in exchange for money.

Advertising Disclosures

Certain advertising, analytics, and attribution activities involving cookies, pixels, tags, or advertising identifiers may be legally defined as "selling," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some privacy laws, even where no money is exchanged.

Where applicable, you may request to opt out through a cookie or privacy-preference tool, a "Your Privacy Choices" link where provided, a legally recognized browser-based preference signal, or the contact information in the "Contact" section below.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors for targeted advertising.

COMMUNITY FEATURES AND USER CONTENT

Visibility

Profile information, posts, comments, photographs, videos, uploads, reactions, and other community activity may be visible to other members, participants, service providers, or the public, depending on the feature and its settings.

Sensitive Information

Please use care when sharing sensitive information through profiles, community discussions, comments, direct messages, event interactions, uploads, or other member features.

Sensitive information may include information about your health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, finances, identity documents, location, travel plans, contact information, account credentials, legal disputes, family members, or other personal circumstances.

Other users may save, copy, screenshot, photograph, record, quote, or redistribute information made visible to them. We cannot fully control how another person uses information they receive through a community or interactive feature.

Moderation and Preservation

We may review, restrict, remove, preserve, or disclose user-generated content when reasonably necessary to operate the community; enforce our agreements or rules; investigate reports; protect safety; prevent fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct; or comply with legal obligations.

Feedback and Testimonials

Feedback, reviews, comments, survey responses, success stories, messages, photographs, videos, and other content you voluntarily submit to us may be reviewed and used internally to operate, evaluate, improve, document, and promote our Services.

We may reproduce, publish, adapt, excerpt, or paraphrase nonconfidential feedback for promotional, educational, research, or business purposes. Where reasonably practicable, we may remove or limit directly identifying information.

We may use content that you have already submitted for public display, posted publicly through our Services, specifically provided as a testimonial, or otherwise authorized for public use.

You may request that identified content not be used, or that future use stop, by contacting [email protected] and clearly identifying the content.

We will make commercially reasonable efforts to honor the request going forward. We may be unable to recall materials already printed, distributed, republished by third parties, incorporated into completed campaigns, or otherwise placed beyond our reasonable control. We may also retain internal copies where reasonably necessary for legal, compliance, recordkeeping, security, or operational purposes.

Any license or permission governing the ownership, reproduction, publication, or use of member-submitted content may also be addressed in our Terms and Conditions.

AI-ASSISTED FEATURES

Platform-Provided Features

Third-party platforms we use may introduce limited AI-assisted or automated features.
These features may be operated by the membership provider or its technology partners rather than developed or operated directly by us.

How They Work

Where available, information you voluntarily submit through an AI-assisted feature may be processed by the membership platform and its providers to deliver the requested function.

Please avoid entering confidential, medical, financial, legal, identifying, or otherwise sensitive information into an AI-assisted feature unless the feature expressly requests the information and provides adequate privacy disclosures.

What They Cover

Any AI-assisted features are expected to be limited to platform functions such as search, navigation, administrative assistance, optional prompts, or basic content recommendations.

The presence of an AI-assisted platform feature does not mean that our modules, teachings, videos, methods, or other core membership materials are generated by artificial intelligence.

Private Content and Model Training

We will not knowingly authorize private journal entries, private messages, or confidential member submissions to be used to train publicly available general-purpose AI models without additional notice and consent where required.

Third-Party Practices

The membership platform's privacy policy, terms, settings, disclosures, and technical practices may also apply to information submitted directly through its AI-assisted features.
We may not control every aspect of the platform provider's technology, models, storage, or data processing.

No Professional Reliance

An AI-assisted response may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Any such feature is optional and does not constitute medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

EMAIL AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Marketing

Subject to applicable law, we may send you communications about memberships, modules, digital products, events, retreats, content, promotions, surveys, affiliate offerings, and related services.

Marketing emails may be sent through EmailOctopus, Ezycourse, or another email service provider.

Unsubscribing

You can stop receiving promotional emails by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the communication, updating your available preferences, or contacting us.

Transactional Communications

Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we or our providers may continue to send necessary communications about your account, payments, purchases, subscription, security, legal notices, events, retreats, support matters, or requested services.

DATA RETENTION

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our Services; maintain accounts or memberships; complete transactions; operate retreats or events; fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; protect security; meet tax, accounting, insurance, contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

What We Consider

Retention periods may depend on the nature and sensitivity of the information, why it was collected, the duration of our relationship with you, applicable legal requirements and limitation periods, vendor capabilities, and whether deletion is technically and legally feasible.

Disposal

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, aggregate, archive, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.

DATA SECURITY

Our Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, contractual, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information.

Depending on the Services and information involved, our safeguards may include access restrictions, password protection, authentication controls, encryption in transit, secure service providers, software updates, activity monitoring, data minimization, and incident-response procedures.

No Guarantee

No website, platform, transmission method, payment system, storage service, or security measure is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, confidentiality, or integrity.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for protecting your password, authentication details, payment credentials, and devices and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those in your country of residence.

Where legally required, international transfers may be supported by adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, contractual safeguards, recognized data-transfer frameworks, another lawful transfer mechanism, or your explicit consent where appropriate.

Children Under Thirteen

We do not knowingly permit children under thirteen to create accounts or provide personal information through our Services.
If we learn that personal information from a child under thirteen has been collected improperly, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete or restrict the information where required.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact us promptly.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS, OFFERINGS, AND EMBEDDED CONTENT

DO NOT TRACK AND PRIVACY-PREFERENCE SIGNALS

Some browsers and devices provide "Do Not Track" settings. Because there is no universally accepted standard governing all such signals, our Services may not respond to them in every context.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a supported browser-based opt-out preference signal, we will process the signal as required.

We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, vendors, technologies, data practices, business operations, or legal requirements.
The revised Privacy Policy will display an updated "Last Updated" date. Where required, we may provide additional notice by email, within your account, through our Services, or by another reasonable method.
